User-Driven Innovation and Design

LIMAK Management Forum 2009
Do customers spur companies on to top performances?

14 October 2009, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Nowadays it has become "normal" for companies to gear themselves towards the needs of their customers, or to put it more precisely users, in everyday business life and this is no longer seen as a challenge for entrepreneurs.

How can it be, therefore, that so many new products are launched on the marketplace which do not meet with any interest whatsoever?

How does one identify revolutionary new products? It is certainly not a good idea to ignore the users when you are doing this. There would appear to be a great need for new concepts and approaches for user-integration which encourage experimenting and act on the basis of moods and whims to bring that element to the surface which really makes products successful at the end of the day.

What User-Integration can really look like in a concrete case and how one has to approach this so that it can be successful, will be the subject of this event.

Dr. Johann Füller,
Board of Directors Hyve AG, Research Affiliate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) explains how user-oriented contexts and networks can be put to use to gain ideas.

Alexander Wiethoff MA,
Interaction Designer and Assistant at the Ludwig Maximilians University (LMU) in Munich deals with customer integration with the focus on usability.

DI Christopher Lindinger
,
Experience Designer and Head of Research at the Ars Electronica Future Lab shows how the interaction between mankind and machinery can be transformed into an experience.
