The LIMAK Competence Model
Nothing offers more promise than learning from the best -
unless it is having the best in your group!
The LIMAK competence model is based on many years of experience in the field of postgraduate further education, has proven itself in practice and continues to evolve. It encompasses the holistic, three-dimensional further development of the knowledge, personal and interpersonal competences of (potential) executives. This model is the basis for all LIMAK study programs and LIMAK IN.SPIRE.
Anyone who is at the head of an organization and who wishes to lead in a qualified manner should be competent yet also eager to further develop their abilities in these three key areas: knowledge - personality - dealing with people.
A conducive framework supports the LIMAK competence model:
- an outstanding faculty
- a high degree of practical relevance
- an international orientation and
- heterogeneous groups of participants.
This strategy makes LIMAK an outstanding for life-long, application-oriented learning.
The first building block
|
Knowledge competence comprises ongoing advancement in the professional field by means of the most widely recognized management tools, methods and instruments, imparted in conjunction with an application-oriented and international focus.
At the center of the process are interdisciplinary and holistic thinking and acting. Our program participants should be capable of transferring the strategies, methods, best practice cases, etc. that they have learned to their own companies and applying these in their professional world. At the same time they are able to hone their analytical, strategic and methodical skills.
The second building block
|
Interpersonal or social competence relates to the continuing development of interpersonal relations. Examination of one's own role as leader as well as of group and relationship-oriented behavior is a primary objective.
Our program participants get to know themselves and their environment better, have regular opportunities to scrutinize and reflect on their personal leadership style as well as on their own understanding of their role in different contexts and can simulate and work through a variety of management situations in groups.
The third building block
|
Personal competence completes the LIMAK competence model. Attention is focused on
- an assessment of one's own abilities and competences
- personal reflection and self-management in one's own further development
- exploring and expanding one's own ability to communicate
- application of a wide variety of conflict-solving models
supplemented by opportunities for individualized coaching.
