This module teaches basic elements and basic structures of the automotive value chain, such as operations management, production systems, process and quality management. Furthermore, auditing and certification in the automotive industry are dealt with in more detail.

This module provides an overview of the most important tasks related to production and operations management in the Automotive Industry.
The topic of Industry 4.0 is also addressed. The aim is to present the requirements and the essential components of the value creation process. A change in the direction of Industry 4.0 is a change from the conventional factory to the “Smart Factory”.
The module also covers mobility, energy and environmental aspects, and another part describes procurement, supplier and contract management.
