As part of the LIMAK Study Trip Stockholm 2026, participants are gaining valuable insights into Sweden’s innovation, business and education landscape. Under the title “Scandinavian Insights: Strategy & Business Model Innovation”, the program focuses on international perspectives on strategy, innovation, new business models and entrepreneurial future questions.
A Deep Dive into Scandinavian Innovation and Sustainable Transformation
The academic program started with an intensive Academic Day at the KTH Innovation Center. Participants explored key concepts of business modeling, including Porter’s Five Forces, the Business Model Canvas and the Business Model Navigator.
The focus was on how these tools can be evaluated, tested and applied in practice. The day was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Tamara Carleton and further experts from the innovation ecosystem. Viktor Olsson and Hannes Eder from KTH Innovation shared insights into current innovation projects, while Paris Carbone, founder of Orb, provided perspectives on innovative AI applications.

Participants are engaging with selected companies and institutions that offer practical insights into key future topics of the Swedish economy:
- Telia Company – digital infrastructure and connectivity
- Doconomy – sustainable finance solutions
- Scania – sustainable mobility and industrial transformation
- Ventures Accelerated – venture building, corporate innovation and scaling new business models
These company visits show how Swedish organizations approach innovation, sustainability and transformation in practice.

International Exchange & Networking
Another highlight was the joint LIMAK and Advantage Austria Networking Event in Stockholm. In a professional yet personal atmosphere, participants had the opportunity to connect internationally, exchange experiences and further strengthen the LIMAK network beyond Austria.
Mag. Cosima Steiner, MSc, Austrian Commercial Counsellor, provided insights into the economic relations between Sweden and Austria. Mag. Mikolaj Norek, Head of Innovation and Technology at WKO, added further perspectives on Stockholm’s innovation landscape.
